Matting and Framing Options
Matting and Backing:
I like neutral mats or backing for the original artwork in my home. That is why all the 4" x 4" pieces are tripled-backed in black-white-black to 8" x 8". All the 4" x 6" pieces are backed by a slightly larger black backing. Both these sizes fit in standard size frames. If you prefer a different color mat, I have dark and light gray, beige, cream, brown and khaki, along with black and white, for backing or matting any of these pieces.
Another interesting way to mat the square pieces is in a 12" x 12" double black and white mat to fit in a standard 12" x 12" frame. (See the first picture under the tab "Lines.) This gives the image some importance. Of course the rectangular pieces can also be matted to fit a square format if you don't mind losing some of the artwork in the process.
Something else that I have done is to use small spacers between the artwork and the different mats or backings, and framing the piece in a deeper frame or even a shadow box. This adds a lot of dimension and interest to the piece .
If you prefer a center cut mat where the art is behind the mat, I can provide that upon request in any of the colors listed above, or any combination of them. Any backing you chose will not increase the price of the piece you purchase. A center cut mat will increase the price by $5 per mat.
Framing
To unify the artwork in my home, I use the same or similar frames . My favorite are thin metal frames, approximately 1/2" wide. If you wish to have your artwork framed, I have a certain number of 8" x 8" frames with glass for your purchase. There will be an additional charge of $10 per frame and $5 for shipping . The frames look like this (without the tree shadows):
